Dayton, TX — June 17, 2024, one woman was killed following a truck accident shortly before 7:45 a.m. along State Highway 321.
According to authorities, a 48-year-old woman was traveling in a southbound Dodge pickup truck on S.H. 321 approaching the C.R. 668 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound trash truck on C.R. 668 attempted a left turn to head north on S.H. 321 at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to highway traffic. This resulted in a collision between the trash truck and the southbound pickup truck. The woman suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene.
