Galveston, TX — April 14, 2023, Steven Lopez Flores and another were injured in a low-speed accident around 3:10 p.m. on 52nd St. in Galveston.
Officials report Mr. Lopez Flores’s GMC Sierra was heading west on Avenue R passing by 52nd St. when a Hyundai Tucson allegedly ran a stop sign and struck the passenger side of the Sierra. The impact then purportedly forced the Sierra to soin across Ave. R toward’s its driver’s side and collide with a parked Kia Forte. The rear driver’s side of the Sierra reportedly swiped the nose of the Forte.
Sources say Steven Lopez Flores and the driver of the Tucson sustained serious injuries. The Forte was purportedly unoccupied.
Investigators have not released what caused the severity of Mr. Lopez Flores’s injuries.
