It’s important to avoid jumping to conclusions after serious truck wrecks. Any number of factors can lead to a wreck like this, and there’s no telling how much work authorities have done outside of the public eye to get answers. Depending on the experience of investigating officials and the tools they have access to, getting the whole story might not be so straight-forward
For example, I recall a case not long ago that had facts similar to what I’m reading here. In that case, authorities ultimately said the victim went left of center and hit a semi-truck. The family just wanted to make sure they weren’t missing anything important. Well, a more thorough accident reconstruction revealed the victim swerved to the left only because the 18-wheeler initially drifted into oncoming lanes. Had there not been secondary investigations, who knows if the truth ever would have come to light.
To be clear, I’m not suggesting that happened here. But when the victim isn’t around to tell their side of the story, the evidence has to speak for itself. If authorities have the right tools and experience to handle a complex commercial truck wreck, they’ll likely get the victim’s loved ones the answers they deserve. Otherwise, relying solely on the authorities to get answers may not be good enough.
