Stephen Pouliasis Killed, Nicole Griffin, 1 Injured in Car Accident on S.H. 110 in Smith County, TX

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the pickup truck attempted a left turn onto southbound S.H. 110 at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to highway traffic at the stop sign. This resulted in a collision between the front-left corner of the Ford pickup truck and the front-right corner of a northbound Chevy Silverado occupied by 35-year-old Stephen Pouliasis. The collision caused the Silverado to swerve to the left, entering the southbound lanes of the highway. There, it was involved in a head-on collision with a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV occupied by 38-year-old Nicole Griffin.

Pouliasis incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. Griffin suffered suspected severe injuries and the man from the Ford sustained apparently minor injuries. Both of the injured victims were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
