Crash investigators report Stephen Olsen’s Dodge Challenger was northbound on Hwy. 24 when it was struck head-on by a wrong-way Ford F-250. The collision’s impact purportedly sent the Ford F-250 into a rollover and caused Olsen’s Challenger to catch fire.
Stephen Olsen, 19, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The two occupants of the F-250 reportedly suffered minor injuries.
Police recommended charging the driver of the F-250 with a violation for driving with an expired license, and toxicology results are pending to determine if impairment was factor.
