Lincoln County, WY — April 11, 2023, Steffany Bolivar Velasquez was killed and three others were injured in a truck accident around 3 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 89 in Lincoln County.
According to officials, Ms. Velasquez’s Toyota RAV4 was southbound attempting a left-hand turn to go eastbound on U.S. Hwy. 30 when the SUV was struck by a westbound Peterbilt semi-truck. The Peterbilt’s nose reportedly hit the SUV’s rear driver-side door.
The impact reportedly forced the SUV to counterclockwise and the Peterbilt semi-truck to overturn and slide across the highway into the path of a second semi-truck.
Authorities report Ms. Velasquez suffered fatal injuries and three others were injured. Investigators have not released where Ms. Velasquez was sitting in the Toyota RAV4, what vehicle(s) the other victims were in, nor the factors that led up to the accident.
