Joshua, TX — June 19, 2024, Starlet Snell was injured as the result of a car accident at around 1:00 a.m. along F.M. 917.
Investigators said that the accident happened near the intersection of F.M. 917 and Trailwood Drive.
According to officials, 55-year-old Starlet Snell was a passenger in a BMW that was going westbound along F.M. 917. From the eastbound lane, it appears a Toyota Camry going too fast went left of center, crashed into the BMW. As a result, Snell had serious injuries. It appears no one else was injured.

If what authorities said here is true, then all of this likely seems pretty open-and-shut. One thing that stands out to me, though, is the difference in injuries between the people involved here. While circumstances can play out that result in only one person getting hurt, this can sometimes be a red flag of something failing to protect the victim that protected the others involved in the crash. Did authorities examine the victim’s seatbelt or airbag at all? Could it be there were extenuating circumstances here beyond just the cause of the crash? If nothing else, someone being seriously hurt should be reason enough to ensure nothing important slips through the cracks.
