Kilgore, TX — July 17, 2023, Stacey King and Jonathan Pepper were killed following a car accident that happened on Highway 42.
According to initial statements from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at approximately 6:15 a.m. just north of Kilgore.
Officials said that 52-year-old Stacey King and 35-year-old Jonathan Pepper were in a vehicle that was going along Highway 42. At a curve in the road, the vehicle somehow continued off-road where it then overturned repeatedly.
As a result of the crash, King and Pepper both succumbed to fatal injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the crash. Authorities have yet to release additional details about the accident as investigations are ongoing.
