Bonner County, ID — June 5, 2025, a Spokane Valley man was injured as the result of a truck accident at around 4:00 p.m. along US Highway 2.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the crash happened in the area of Priest River near US 2 mile marker 7.

According to officials, a 45-year-old Spokane Valley man was behind the wheel of an Isuzu box truck. While going along westbound lanes of the highway, the vehicle somehow lost control. It ran off-road where it ultimately overturned and hit a pole.
Due to the collision, the driver was taken from the scene with unspecified injuries. Authorities did not mention any other injuries nor did they mention other vehicles being involved in the crash. Investigations are ongoing.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People often look at truck wrecks like big car accidents. The reality, though, is they can bring on all kinds of unique factors that a typical crash report may not be able to address.
How long had the driver been behind the wheel? Did cargo shift? Was the truck’s owner maintaining the vehicle? Were there known issues? Was the driver being overworked by an unreasonable employer? Were they adequately qualified to operate a large truck?
These are just some of the questions I expect to see from thorough accident reconstructions. So if they’re not being asked here, there could be important details not getting the attention they need.
