Accident Report

Haltom City, TX — March 20, 2026, Solyna Mao was injured in a three-car accident at about 11:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 377.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a southbound 2022 Ford F-250 crashed into a 2015 Honda Odyssey that was stopped at the intersection with Broadway Avenue. The impact forced the van to hit a 2025 Honda Civic.

A passenger in the van, 39-year-old Solyna Mao, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

Both Honda drivers suffered minor injuries, the report states, while the Ford driver was listed as possibly injured.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Tarrant County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

It’s easy to assume the Ford driver is to blame for this crash, but what if the pickup had a problem with its brakes? Or the driver had a medical emergency before the collision? Or the minivan didn’t have working brake lights? A full investigation is needed to unearth the evidence needed to address these questions.

Authorities should be able to piece together the events leading up to this crash by gathering evidence from the scene, taking witness statements and downloading data from the vehicles, but that won’t tell us if the pickup driver had a medical issue or if his vehicle had a malfunction. That likely will require an outside expert, in my experience.

The injured woman and her family deserve to have a clear understanding how this crash happened, from a thorough investigation of the accident.
