Accident Report

Hill County, TX — June 20, 2026, six people were killed in a car accident at about 4:30 p.m. on State Highway 171/Tolivar Road.

Authorities said a northbound Nissan sedan crashed head-on with a Ford van while trying to pass another vehicle near F.M. 3155, causing both vehicles to catch fire.

Two adults and two children in the van died in the crash between Malone and Bynum, according to authorities, while a third child suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Two people in the Nissan died as well, authorities said.

None of their names have been made public yet.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Hill County crash at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
