Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Single-vehicle accidents sometimes slip through the cracks due to the fact authorities don’t always seem them as a high priority. As such, they sometimes move on without getting all of the details, or they make assumptions without considering the evidence. Meanwhile, more experienced and thorough independent investigators consider all kinds of possibilities. Were there mechanical issues? A tire blowout? A medical emergency? Issues with lighting or signage? Issues with the road itself? Likely or not, these things happen, and it’s important to consider all possibilities until the evidence is clear.
