Could a vehicle defect have contributed to the collision? Has all available electronic data been collected and reviewed?
First, was the crash thoroughly investigated by authorities? While single-vehicle accidents are often attributed to driver error, such assumptions can oversimplify the situation. For example, was there something about the roadway conditions that made it difficult to maintain control? Was there a contributing external factor, such as a poorly marked embankment, obscured visibility, or even another vehicle whose involvement wasn’t immediately apparent? Law enforcement reports sometimes lack the depth necessary to answer these questions, which is why independent investigations are often beneficial.
