Austin, TX — March 3, 2024, two people were injured in a single-car accident at approximately 2:40 a.m. along U.S. Highway 290.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of U.S. 290 in the vicinity of State School Road.
The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a motor vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident. A child who had been an occupant of the vehicle reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries as a result and was transported to a local children’s hospital by emergency medical services in order to receive immediate treatment. One other person who had been in the vehicle suffered apparently non-life-threatening injuries, as well, and was transported to a different medical facility for care.
