San Marcos, TX — May 17, 2023, Shannon Denise Sumbling was killed following an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 9:45 p.m. along Highway 123.
Investigators said that the incident happened at around 9:45 p.m. in the area of the Highway 123 and East Access Road intersection.
While the exact circumstances surrounding the accident are unclear, details suggest that 51-year-old Shannon Denise Sumbling was walking to work at the time. As Sumbling walked, it appears a pickup hit her, then left the scene of the accident. Sumbling died as a result of the collision.
