Pasadena, TX — November 4, 2024, Sergio Torres III was injured as the result of a car accident at around 8:00 a.m. along Vista Road.
Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened near the intersection of Vista Road and Strawberry Road.
Officials said that 39-year-old Sergio Torres III was in a Chevy Impala going eastbound along Vista Road. For reasons unconfirmed, the vehicle lost control and drifted off-road. There, the vehicle crashed into a pole.
As a result of the crash, Torres sustained serious injuries. Authorities did not mention anyone else being involved in the crash. Right now, no further information is available.

I always take preliminary reports about a single-vehicle wreck with a grain of salt. Frankly, authorities don’t often see them as a high priority, so they may be hasty in their investigations, or they may jump to conclusions without actually gathering clear evidence. That’s not always true, of course. I’ve had situations in the past where families were skeptical about details they were getting from authorities, and independent investigations simply reassured them authorities did a good job. A lot of the time, though, when folks feel their side of the story isn’t being fairly represented, it can be a sign that authorities weren’t really giving the crash the attention it deserved. It remains to be seen what kind of efforts were made here to get answers.
