Fort Myers, FL — July 26, 2023, a man was killed and others were hurt following a semi-truck accident at around 3:45 p.m. along I-75.
Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol said that the crash happened along the southbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Colonial Boulevard.
It appears that a 25-year-old Hialeah man was in a semi-truck that was going along the interstate. For reasons which are unclear, the semi crashed into the back of a dump truck. This started a chain reaction collision involving several other vehicles.
As a result of the collision, the Hialeah man sustained fatal injuries. Others involved were said to have apparently minor injuries. Those victims were not publicly identified. Right now, the exact cause of the crash has yet to be stated by officials.
