I can’t help wondering if authorities were able to dedicate enough time and resources to figuring out what all led this accident. Police are too often pulled away from crash investigations to handle other responsibilities, and it can lead to important details slipping through the cracks. The fact this incident was a chain of events involving two separate collisions would only mean there’s more for investigators to miss. Current public statements do little to shed light on what all happened here, but my hope is authorities were more thorough behind the scenes. At the very least, there’s a family out there who shouldn’t have to bear the burden of unanswered questions on top of what they’re already going through.
