Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

With non-standard vehicles like this, my main concern is if investigators have been fair and unbiased. A lot of people will jump to conclusions when a victim was on two wheels, and insurance companies often try to exploit this bias. Even if authorities seem to have a clear “bad guy,” any room for muddying the waters is likely to be exploited.

That’s why it’s best for victims and families to have as much evidence as possible telling their side of the story. The less room there is to shift the blame, the more likely it is for victims and families to get the resolution they deserve.
