Bexar County, TX — July 15, 2024, a Schertz woman and two others were injured due to a car accident at around 11:45 p.m. along I-35.

Details from authorities say that the accident happened in the area of the Pat Booker Road exit on northbound lanes of the interstate, northeast of San Antonio.

According to officials, a 19-year-old Schertz woman, a 20-year-old woman, and a 4-year-old child were in a Nissan Altima going along I-35. Traffic came to a stop, and the Nissan somehow collided with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, which in turn crashed with an 18-wheeler. Due to the crash, the Schertz woman had serious injuries. The other woman and the child had non-serious injuries. No other details about the crash are available right now.

Ultimately, there is no such thing as a straight-forward, multi-vehicle accident. There could be all kinds of factors involved, and they all require thorough investigations. Many of those factors could be ruled out, but the other option is to let them slip through the cracks unaddressed. For those in need of help, that just isn’t good enough. So regardless of what happened here, anything less than a thorough accident reconstruction likely isn’t telling the whole story.
