Houston, TX — September 14, 2024, Saul Rodriguez Jaimes was killed in a pedestrian versus hit-and-run car accident at about 2:45 a.m. on Southwest Freeway.
According to authorities, 27-year-old Saul Rodriguez Jaimes was on foot walking along the service road for Southwest Freeway in the vicinity of the Wakeforest street intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a collision took place between Jaimes and a black sedan. The motor vehicle allegedly fled the scene, the person(s) inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim.
Jaimes suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision, according to reports, and was declared deceased at the scene. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
