Collin County, TX — June 27, 2024, Sara Fischer and a minor were injured in a car accident at approximately 5:45 p.m. along Preston Road.
According to authorities, 45-year-old Sara Fischer was traveling in a southbound Chevrolet Traverse SUV on Preston Road at the West Outer Loop intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northbound Mazda occupied by a 43-year-old man and an 8-year-old girl on Preston attempted a left turn to head westbound on Outer Loop at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way on oncoming traffic on a left turn. This resulted in a collision between the Mazda and the Chevrolet.
Fischer suffered reportedly serious injuries due to the wreck, while the girl from the Mazda sustained moderate injuries, as well. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
