Corpus Christi, TX — September 19, 2023, Sandra Mata sustained injuries as the result of a single-vehicle accident at approximately 8:19 p.m. along Highway 358.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident took place just off the corner of the Highway 358 and Woodlawn Drive intersection.
Details right now identify 32-year-old Sandra Mata as the driver of a Toyota Tacoma which was going eastbound on the highway. That vehicle ran off the right side of the road where it crossed the median, went onto the service road, hopped a curb, and crashed into a business.
As a result of this chain of events, Mata was reportedly taken from the scene with incapacitating injuries. There were no other reported injuries. Currently, additional details leading up to the crash remain unconfirmed as investigations continue.
