Pittsburg, TX — August 25, 2022, Ryan Meador was killed, and another was injured in a car crash around 10:01 p.m. on N. Greer Blvd. in Pittsburg.
Authorities report Mr. Meador was traveling north on U.S. Hwy. 271/N Greer Blvd. and had just crossed through the intersection with Daingerfield St. when his vehicle reportedly hit another vehicle. The collision then reportedly forced Mr. Meador’s motorcycle to leave the road to the eastern side, collide with a telephone pole, send large amounts of debris into the air, and eject Mr. Meador from the motorbike.
Ryan Meador was fatally injured in the crash, and officials report a pedestrian nearby sustained minor injuries from the flying debris.
Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
