Ector County, TX — August 1, 2024, Ruth Gonzalez was injured following a car accident at approximately 7:30 p.m. along State Loop 338.
According to authorities, 59-year-old Ruth Gonzalez was traveling in a westbound GMC Yukon on S.L. 339 at the Holloman Avenue intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northbound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck that had been traveling on Holloman Avenue entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the pickup truck and the front-left side of the Yukon.
Gonzalez suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
