San Antonio, TX — May 24, 2024, Roy Martin was injured following a car accident at approximately 9:30 p.m. along San Pedro Avenue.
According to authorities, 70-year-old Roy Martin was traveling in a northbound Chevrolet Aveo on San Pedro Avenue at the San Angelo Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that a Jeep Wrangler that had recently avoided a traffic stop and was traveling eastbound on San Angelo neglected to stop for the stop sign, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a T-bone collision between the front-end of the Aveo and the right side of the Jeep. The person who had been behind the wheel of the Jeep allegedly fled the scene on foot, failing to render aid of any sort to the victim.
Martin suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
