Harris County, TX — July 1, 2023, Rosa Guzman Amaya was injured as the result of an alleged hit-and-run accident at 10:17 p.m. along Treaschwig Road.
Preliminary information about the car accident show that it happened at the intersection of Treaschwig Road and Jay Drive.
According to officials, 39-year-old Rosa Guzman was in a Chevy Silverado that was going northwest along Jay Drive. At Treaschwig, a Honda Civic traveling northeast reportedly disregarded a red light, crashing into the side of the Silverado. It appears the Honda driver ran from the scene but was later apprehended.
As a result of the collision, Guzman sustained apparently non-incapacitating injuries. It appears there were no other injuries resulting from the crash. Recommendations from authorities indicate there may be a pending charge for failure to stop and render aid against the Honda driver. No further information is available at this time.
