Galveston County, TX — August 3, 2024, Rosa Cavazos sustained injuries due to a single-vehicle car accident at around 9:55 p.m. along Highway 146.
Authorities said in their initial statements that the accident happened the highway near 25th Avenue.
According to officials, 22-year-old Rosa Cavazos was in a Nissan Maxima going along the highway. The vehicle somehow left the roadway, and it then crashed along the guardrail. As a result of the collision, Rosa Cavazos sustained serious injuries.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Additional details surrounding the accident are unavailable.

People often mistakenly believe single-vehicle wrecks are simple just because only one vehicle is involved. In reality, they can present unique challenges—especially late at night when witnesses may be few and far between.
