Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Regardless of the cause of the accident, work accidents always carry inherent challenges to overcome. Simply put, Texas work accident law is more complex than in any other state in the country. Despite what people may think, there isn’t always an automatic process for getting workers and families benefits after an accident. Sometimes, the burden falls to them to work with the employer involved, who usually is going to prioritize their best interests over those of the employee. That means people involved in these accidents need to ensure they have the tools, evidence, and legal strategies helping them navigate the legal maze that is Texas work injury law. Otherwise, the obstacles between them and much needed benefits could prove daunting.
