Hickory Creek, TX — December 24, 2023, two people were injured in a rollover car accident at approximately 2:00 a.m. along I.H. 35E.
According to reports, a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were traveling in a northbound Nissan Pathfinder in the outside lane of Interstate Highway 35E in the vicinity of the Oak Road overpass when the accident took place.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been rainy and wet. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Nissan overturned, rolling an unknown number of times and crossing over all of the northbound lanes of the interstate before coming to rest upright in the express lane.
The woman incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident while the man sustained reportedly minor injuries. Both of them were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
