UPDATE (October 6, 2023): According to recent reports, authorities with the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim killed in the accident as 58-year-old Rodolfo Corpus Montez. No further information about the accident is available at this time.
San Antonio, TX — October 1, 2023, a driver was killed following a head-on car accident at around 9:00 p.m. along South Flores Street.
Preliminary details about the accident suggest that the crash took place in the area of the South Flores Street and Barrett Avenue intersection in South San Antonio.
Current information from authorities indicates that a blue pickup truck was going southbound along Flores at the time. For reasons not clear at this time, the vehicle crossed paths and collided with an oncoming white pickup truck.
Due to the collision, the driver of the blue pickup sustained fatal injuries. That person has not been identified at this time. The other driver apparently did not have any injuries. Authorities have yet to release additional details about the crash.
