Bandera County, TX — July 3, 2023, Rodney Hamby and a 7-year-old were injured in a car accident around 9:35 p.m. on Hwy. 16 in Bandera County.
According to authorities, Mr. Hamby was driving an Infinity QX80 with 1 adult passenger and 3 child passengers in it. While his Infinity was traveling south on Hwy. 16 approaching Bandina Ranch Rd. it was allegedly rear-ended by a Ford F-250.
The impact reported resulted in the F-250 driver and a 7-year-old (in the rear seat of the Infiniti) suffering serious injuries. Mr. Hamby purportedly suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Police allege the F-250 driver told authorities he had been drinking earlier in the day. A toxicology report has not been released.
