Fort Bend County, TX — Rodney Gill was killed following a pedestrian versus truck accident shortly before 5:45 a.m. along Cravens Road.
According to authorities, a Freightliner 18-wheeler was traveling southward through a parking lot in an attempt to find an empty space to park the truck in the vicinity east of City Park Drive when the accident took place.
Reports state that there were no empty spots in the area ahead, so the truck stopped and began to reverse in an attempt to park in an empty spot it had already passed. However, at some point, the 18-wheeler had apparently struck a pedestrian—59-year-old Rodney Gill—who was seen lying on the ground in front of the truck.
