Single-vehicle wrecks can often bring up misconceptions, as folks generally think they’re all open-and-shut. However, these situations aren’t always just the result of a driver doing something wrong, like folks tend to think. That’s why it’s important to consider other possibilities. Was there something in the road? Did a tire blow out? Is this a poorly maintained stretch of road? Was there another driver who fled the scene? Did the vehicle have some kind of defect? Likely or not, someone lost their life here, and another was seriously injured. It’s important those involved in the crash know authorities aren’t just looking for someone to blame but rather are looking for answers.
