Midland, TX — January 7, 2024, Roberta Joseph was killed as the result of a pedestrian versus vehicle accident at around 1:55 a.m. on Loop 250.
Authorities said in their statements that the collision took place along the eastbound lanes of Loop 250 in the area of North Midland Drive.
According to officials, 57-year-old Roberta Joseph was on foot at the time in the area of Loop 250 travel lanes, though its said that Joseph was walking on the shoulder. While there, police say a Honda Accord driver was on their phone while rounding a curve, and that vehicle struck Joseph along the side of the highway.
Due to the collision, Joseph sustained fatal injuries. The driver was not hurt. Right now, authorities haven’t reported any confirmation on the cause of the accident, and it’s unclear if any charges or citations were considered. No further information is available right now.
