How Did This Accident Occur?

This sounds like a pretty straight-forward crash, from what we’re being told right now: an SUV collides with another vehicle going the same direction, causing it to veer into oncoming traffic. But at this point, we don’t know why the initial collision occured.

Did the RAV4 have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism? Was the driver distracted? Authorities indicate that driver was speeding at the time of the crash, but it remains to be seen if evidence gathered in the investigation will support that conclusion.

A complete investigation should make it clear to those effected by this crash how it happened.
