Ireton, IA — October 30, 2024, Robert Bouwman was injured following a van versus truck accident at approximately 11:30 a.m. along Dipper Avenue.
According to authorities, 71-year-old Robert Bouwman was traveling in a Volvo van in the vicinity southwest of Ireton when the accident when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the van was involved in a collision with a northbound Peterbilt 18-wheeler on Dipper that had allegedly failed to yield the right of way.
