Freestone County, TX — October 20, 2024, Robby Pillans was killed in a motorcycle versus car accident at approximately 5:30 p.m. along Farm to Market 1366.
According to authorities, 46-year-old Robby Pillans was traveling on a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle on F.M. 1366 at the Private Road 979 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Jeep Liberty on F.M. 1366 attempted a left turn onto the private road at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right-of-way to oncoming northbound traffic. This led to a collision between the front-end of the Harley-Davidson and the front-right side of the Jeep.
Pillans sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he was ultimately unable to overcome the severity of this injuries, having later been declared deceased. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
