Dallas, TX — November 26, 2023, Rigoberto Martinez and one other person were injured in a car accident just before 3:00 a.m. along I.H. 345.
According to reports, 36-year-old Rigoberto Martinez was traveling in a southbound Chevy Impala in the far left lane of the Central Expressway just north of Pacific Avenue when the accident took place.
For unknown reasons, the Impala failed to change lanes for a fire truck which had its lights activated and was blocking the left two lanes of the highway for a previous emergency call. The Impala collided the rear left of the fire truck as a result. Rigoberto Martinez reportedly sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident; a 47-year-old man who had been in the fire truck also possibly had injuries. Both victims were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive appropriate treatment.
The cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed. The investigation is ongoing under local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area were reportedly cloudy and wet. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
