Austin, TX — March 20, 2024, Ridhwan Kirza was injured in a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 7:00 a.m. along Metric Boulevard.
According to authorities, 32-year-old Ridhwan Kirza was traveling in a northbound Toyota Camry along Metric Boulevard approaching the Running Bird Lane intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound vehicle of unknown make or model on Metric Boulevard attempted a left turn onto eastbound Running Bird Lane at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to northbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the two vehicles. The person(s) in the vehicle which had been making the turn allegedly fled the scene, neglecting to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim.
Kirza incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck, though he reportedly refused EMS transport to a medical facility. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
