McCook, NE — May 31, 2023, Richard L. Trail and Clara Trail were injured in a collision with a semi-truck around 4:59 p.m. on West J Street in McCook.
According to officials, the victim’s SUV was westbound when its passenger side was struck by a northbound tractor-trailer at the intersection of West J Street and U.S. Hwy. 83. The tractor-trailer’s rear tire alleged;y drove over the top of the SUV and forced the SUV into the northeast of the intersection.
Both Mr. and Ms. Trail were reportedly taken by ambulance to a medical center before Richard Trail was air-lifted to a second hospital. The severity of their injuries has not been reported.
The semi-truck driver was reportedly uninjured.
