Arlington, TX — July 10, 2024, Richard Eddington was injured as the result of an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 12:47 a.m. along Cooper Street.

According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of the South Cooper Street and West Arkansas Lane intersection.

Investigators said that 46-year-old Richard Eddington was on foot at the time in a parking lot. While there, a Toyota reportedly going at a high rate of speed struck Richard Eddington, then left the scene. Eddington was seriously injured as a result of the accident.

If authorities have yet to identify a runaway driver here, then hopefully they’ll consider putting out more information to the public. A lot of the time, someone in the community is able to connect dots authorities couldn’t and come forward with helpful information. That way, steps can be taken to see there’s accountability both for the accident and for any possible reasons that led the driver to flee in the first place.
