Burleson County, TX — June 18, 2024, Richard Caddell and one other person were injured in a motorcycle versus car accident just before 9:00 p.m. along S.H. 36.

According to authorities, 63-year-old Richard Caddell and a 59-year-old woman were traveling on a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle on S.H. 36 at the F.M. 166 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Ford Focus on Farm to Market 166 entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to highway traffic at a stop sign. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the back-left side of the Ford.

Both occupants of the motorcycle suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; they were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
