Penn Township, PA — July 15, 2023, Richard Anderson was killed in a tractor accident on Walnut Bottom Road in Penn Township, PA.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Richard Anderson, 71, was attempting to crank-start an antique tractor at the time of the incident. Authorities believe that the tractor required a party to hand-crank the engine from its front; the tractor was seemingly in gear when its engine engaged and rolled over Anderson.
Richard Anderson sustained fatal injuries when hit by the tractor. No other injuries were reported.
Investigators are continuing their inquiry into what caused the accident.
