Denton County, TX — May 6, 2025, Richard Anderson was injured as the result of a car accident at around 5:42 a.m. along Sherman Drive.
Authorities said they were called out to the crash scene on Sherman/FM 428 near FM 2153, west of Aubrey.
According to officials, 50-year-old Richard Anderson was in a Ford Fusion going westbound along Sherman. While doing so, a Toyota Corolla going eastbound reportedly left its lane, and it collided with Richard Anderson.
Due to the accident, Richard Anderson sustained serious injuries. Authorities did not say if they were considering charges or citations.

When a vehicle veers out of its lane unexpectedly, mechanical failure should always be considered. That includes steering issues, brake failure, or even sensor malfunctions that misguide the driver. Beyond that, were safety systems like airbags or seatbelts functioning properly on both sides? A defect in either vehicle could have played a role in both the crash and the injuries that followed.
