Tarrant, AL — June 13, 2023, Reta Faye McAlpin was killed as the result of an 18-wheeler accident that happened at 10:30 p.m. on Pinson Valley Parkway.
Preliminary details about the accident said that the incident occurred along northbound lanes of Pinson Valley Parkway at the intersection of Pinehill Road.
According to officials, 63-year-old Reta Faye McAlpin was in a vehicle on Pinson Valley Parkway. While attempting to make a turn onto Pinehill, authorities say that McAlpin’s vehicle and an 18-wheeler somehow crossed paths, resulting in a collision.
Due to the collision with the 18-wheeler, McAlpin was transported to UAB hospital for treatment. It appears she succumbed to her injuries days later on Thursday, June 15. No other injuries were confirmed in the initial reports. It’s also unclear if any charges are being considered. Authorities have yet to give additional details about the crash.
