Eastland County, TX — February 3, 2024, Reginald Van Wilson was killed due to a semi-truck accident at around 10:30 p.m. along Interstate 20.
Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened in the area of I-20 and Highway 6, just south of Eastland.
According to officials, 67-year-old Reginald Van Wilson was the driver of a Freightliner truck accident going westbound along I-20. For reasons unconfirmed right now, the 18-wheeler somehow went to the left, went across the shoulder, and crashed into a guardrail. The vehicle then continued across the median until it went through another barrier and crashed along eastbound lanes. The truck caught fire during the accident.
As a result of the accident, Van Wilson was pronounced deceased at the scene. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the crash. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
