The driver of the SUV, identified as 58-year-old Farha Naz, had reportedly life-threatening injuries. The exact cause of the crash cannot be confirmed at this time.
Wadena, MN — March 27, 2023, a Motley woman was killed and one was injured following a truck accident on Highway 71 just north of Wadena.
Initial details about the crash say that it occurred at approximately 11:24 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 71 and Leaf River Road. The exact cause of the crash remains unclear at this time. It appears that an SUV was traveling eastbound on Leaf River while a semi-truck was going northbound on the highway. At the intersection, the vehicles collided.
Due to the collision, a Motley woman in the SUV sustained fatal injuries. Another woman in that vehicle was said to have serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details are unavailable.

Something to consider after any fatal truck wreck is whether or not it’s getting proper attention from authorities. Folks would be surprised to see how often this sort of thing slips through the cracks because authorities just don’t see it as high priority. Well, the vi8ctims and families involved no doubt see it as a priority, which is why it’s crucial to make sure investigators are being equally dedicated to getting answers. Otherwise, there’s no telling what may slip through the cracks.
