UPDATE (February 15, 2024): The victim who lost his life as a result of this accident has been identified as Raynaldo Amador Valerio, of Pasadena, Texas.
Houston, TX — February 9, 2024, one person was killed and another was injured in a single-car accident at approximately 1:30 a.m. along Allen Genoa Road.
According to authorities, two people were traveling in a passenger vehicle along Allen Genoa Road in the vicinity of El Buey Way when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the vehicle may have been traveling at high speeds leading up to the crash. It allegedly veered left off of the roadway and into the center median where it collided with a tree. One victim, reportedly male, incurred fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene. The other victim—a 59-year-old woman—sustained suspected severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital by EMS in order to receive treatment.
