UPDATE (May 3, 2023): Recent reports indicate police charged Michael Sneed, 42, in connection to the accident that took the life of Rasha Kendrick. Authorities say Sneed, who drove the Dodge Journey that his Ms. Kendrick a second time, left the scene without rendering aid or calling for help. According to an affidavit, Sneed then sought assistance repairing the damage to his vehicle.
Killeen, TX — May 1, 2023, Rasha Kendrick was killed following a pedestrian accident that happened at around 12:30 a.m. on East Central Texas Expressway.
Investigators with the Killeen Police Department reported that the collision happened in the 4600 block of the East Central Texas Expressway, just off the corner of the East Stan Schlueter Loop.

Preliminary details surrounding the incident say that 48-year-old Rasha Kendrick was on foot at the time. It appears she was on the outside lane of the eastbound lanes of the expressway. While there, an Infiniti and a Dodge Journey struck Kendrick. As a result, Kendrick succumbed to fatal injuries.
In current statements, it appears that the Dodge left the accident scene. Police described it as red or orange. The Infiniti reportedly remained at the scene and stopped to help. Right now, additional details about the collision are unavailable.
